This is a trick that will make you look like a sleight of hand artist -- with no skill required -- the special gimmicked coins do all the work. 

The effect:

You display 61 cents in your open hand (2 quarters, a dime, and a penny). You ask your audience to watch closely and to do some basic math. You place all four coins on the table, and pick up one of the quarters and place it in your closed left fist. "25 cents." Then you place the dime in the same closed fist "plus 10 cents is 35 cents". Then you place the penny in the closed left fist too. "Plus 1 cent is 36 cents". Last, you pick up the quarter place it in the same hand and say, "36 cents plus 25 cents is..." pause "Remember, this is called the 61 cent trick!" they'll say 61 cents. You then open your hand to show only one quarter. "NO - It's just 25 cents! Just a quarter" Then you can make a joke about prices going up. 

You can hand out the gimmicked quarter for examination, and they won't be able to tell it isn't a real quarter. (Only you'll know that you'll have to use the bang ring (included) in order to get the gimmicked coins all set up again (takes only a couple seconds to reset).
